High Rise Towball 50mm
High Rise Towball - 50mm
A High Rise Towball is a must for towing English/European imported caravans which have the AKS3004 stabilizer coupling fitted. This trailer coupling is different to what is used in New Zealand and reduces caravan sway when towing. It is also necessary to fit a special locking plate which ensures the towball cannot rotate and work the nut loose. Failure to fit a high rise towball and a locking plate can result in severe damage to the trailer coupling and the towball working loose and even the caravan falling off the towbar.
Towball has a polished finish and is not chrome plated. Chrome plated towballs will wear and the residue can damage stabiliser couplings
Locking plate is designed to fit over a 75mm wide towbar 'tongue'.
Available in 3 different shank size options:
1" (rated to handle up to 3500kg trailer weight)
3/4" (rated to handle up to 2000kg trailer weight)

Ball height of 1" and 7/8" options is 98mm above tow-tongue
